Small class size a maximum of five students per ESL class. a maximum of three students per specialized class
Placement assessment All students are given a Placement Assessment to determine individual learning needs prior to program entry. The assessment provides information in order to design an individual Learning Program (LP).
Monthly Progress Reports In order to determine student progress, as well as monitor teacher effectiveness, a monthly progress report will be given to parents outlining individual student successes, and suggestions for improvement.
Experienced and certified B.C. specialty teachers Teachers employed by the Center are experienced, as well as experts in their teaching discipline. Specialists are better prepared to provide and deliver an effective program. Center teachers have University qualifications that allow them to teach in B.C. All teachers have had criminal record checks to ensure the safety of all students.
Specialized Instructional Programs The Center’s Comprehensive Education Assessment can assist in pinpointing an individual student’s unique learning needs, including learning style. For students who are experiencing difficulty in a standard school setting, or who are not achieving their true potential, a Comprehensive Educational Assessment is highly recommended. All students receiving a specialized instructional program will have a custom Individual Education Plan (IEP).
